Two Temporary Positions with Synod of the Northeast |
||
With the assistance of the Council Committee on Personnel, two positions have been devloped for two temporary (initially six months), part-time salaried positions to oversee essential areas of the Synod’s mission and ministry. Oversight for these areas was previously assigned to one or the other of the two synod executive positions. Mary Lynne Flowers will be actively recruiting qualified ministers or elders to fill these two positions, but would welcome inquiries and applications from others. The Temporary Facilitator for Communications will be working directly with the synod staff team both remotely and in the Syracuse office. This position has primarily an oversight and strategy role; it is not a “techie” position. The Temporary Facilitator for Ministry Support will be working remotely with synod staff team and remotely with leadership in the various ministries of the synod including Presbytery Partnership Groups, (see position description for more detail). Both positions assume extensive use of technology rather than travel. Any travel will be approved on a case by case basis. Please use the application form and submit applications by Tuesday, March 15, 2011, to mlflowers@synodne.org These documents will also be posted on the synod website www.synodne.org If you have questions or need further clarification, please contact Mary Lynne Flowersat mlflowers@synodne.org or (800) 585-5881. |
